Chicken Chargha Recipe (by Chef Zakir)

Chicken Charga is a popular Indian and Pakistani Roasted Chicken Recipe. This version is taken from the Recipe of Chef Zakir.

Chicken Charga Pakistani / Indian Recipe by Zakir

  • Chicken- 1  whole
  • Yogurt – 250 g
  • Turmeric Powder-  1 Tbsp
  • Hot Spice Powder – 2 Tbsps
  • Ginger Garlic Paste – 2 Tbsps
  • Vinegar –  1/4 Cup
  • Red Chilly Powder – 3 Tbsps
  • Salt – 2 taste
  • Oil-  For deep Frying


Boil chicken for 10 minutes with oil and water. Rinse and drain. Marinate the boiled chicken in  chilly, turmeric, hot spice powder, salt , ginger garlic paste and vinegar. Steam cook the marinated chicken for 15 minutes. Deep fry the steam cooked chicken until it turns brown. Garnish with lemon and Lettuce. Serve hot.
