Qorma or mutton curry is a very popular dish in india and Pakistan. You can enjoy the traditional taste of this dish by following this recipe.
- Mutton – 1/2 Kg
- Oil or Clarified Butter – 125 g
- Onions (Large) – 2
- Garlic Finely Chopped – 1 Tsp
- Ginger Finely Chopped – 1 Tsp
- Coriander Leaves – Few
- Red Chilly Powder – 1 Tsp
- Turmeric Powder – 2 Tsp
- Hot Spice Powder – 1/2 Tsp
- Tomatoes – 2
- Salt – To taste
Heat Oil in a pan or wok and add chopped onion to that and saute till it turns light brown. Remove onion from oil and fry ginger and garlic in the remaining oil. Remove ginger and garlic from the oil , mix with fried onion and grind it well. Add meat to the oil and fry till it turns golden. Add ground onion, ginger, garlic, salt, red chilly powder, hot spice powder and coriander to that mixture and fry with the meat. Then add two cups of water and let it simmer on medium heat. When meat is tender, add tomatoes and fry again. Add water and make gravy. Your mutton Qorma ( Korma Curry ) is ready.
